Alexandrov T., Chernyavsky I., Becker M., von Eggeling F., Nikolenko S. I. Analysis and interpretation of imaging mass spectrometry data by clustering mass-to-charge images according to their spatial similarity// Analytical Chemistry. 2013. Vol.85. No.23. P.11189-11195.
The authors propose a new method for automatic grouping of mass spectrometry images that can help in preliminary data analysis when such images number to dozens of thousands. Such clustering approaches can also be used to find groups of other objects – for instance, internet texts or internet users.
