SocInfo 2018. Day third

On September 25-28 in St. Petersburg is taking place the largest international conference on Social Informatics, which is hosted this year by Higher School of Economics with LINIS organisational support.


The third day of the conference was opened by lecture of Harith Alani "Crisis Information Analysis". Professor Alani spoke about the possibilities and limitations of online data for predicting various events.

Participants continued to present their papers both in the form of classical sessions and in the poster session.

The formal part of the conference was concluded by the lecture of Olga Megorskaya, who told about how Yandex, the largest company on Russian market, implements crowdsourcing technologies.

In the evening participants were invited to take part in a sightseeing city bus tour, as well as to get acquainted with its sights on the boat trip which took participants along the water area of ​Neva river.
