Online social networks and success of new entrepreneurs
The rapid development of the Internet, and in particular the emergence of social networks, affects many spheres of human activity. This largely concerns the business for which the development of online technologies is expanding the zone of influence of marketing and creates a new platform for advertising and promotion of their own product or idea.
This becomes particularly important for those who are just starting to develop their business project and has difficulty entering the market, i.e. for so-called startups.
The purpose of the project - evaluation of the use of Russian entrepreneurs social network Vk.com for startup’s development. This will help to answer more general research question – what role do social networks play in the development of a startup?
We analyze the existing strategies used to promote startups and how young entrepreneurs present themselves in the network. Is there any difference in the use of social media "successful" and "unsuccessful" projects.
The data analysis is being done using SPSS and R, as well as programs VKMiner.
