LINIS Employee Goes to a Graduate School in Europe

Research Intern Galina Selivanova was accepted to the PhD programme at Scuola Normale Superiore.

The main campus of the university is located in Pisa, but the programme is taught in Florence where the Department of Social Sciences is located.

The programme is best known for its faculty which includes Mosca Lorenzo, a researcher in the field of socieal science. Galina will work under the supervision of such scholars  as Klaus Eder (Humboldt Universitaet Berlin) and Claudius Wagemann from Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.

'I believe that the programme will give me even more in-depth knowledge of social theory and methodology, as well as research experience at international level in an international environment since almost all students of the programme come from different countries,' - shares her expectations Galina.

Galina's thesis will be moderated by Donatella Della Porta, a well-known sociologist. We wish Galina success and we look forward to her new research projects in the study of social movements.
