The public lecture ‘Web Analytics Research for Keyword Advertising’ by Jim Jansen

LINIS has invited the editor-in-chief of Internet Research Journal Jim Jansen to give a lecture on the keyword advertising as an academic research domain. The lecture was held on March 10, 2014.

JansenThe domain of keyword advertising is a rich research area, with exciting extensions including business, computational advertising, and social media. However, sponsored search has attracted little academic research interest. In his research presentation, Professor Jansen will speak about the case for keyword advertising as an academic research domain through in-depth examples. 

About the speaker
Dr. Jim Jansen is editor-in-chief of the Internet Research journal – a leading journal in the respective domain of science. He is also an associate professor in the College of Information Sciences and Technology at the Pennsylvania State University, and a Senior Fellow in the Pew Internet & American Life Project, Pew Research Center. Jansen has more than 200 publications in the area of information technology and systems; he is co-author of the book Web Search: Public Searching of the Web, co-editor of Handbook of Weblog Analysis, author of Understanding User – Web Interactions Via Web Analytics, and of Understanding Sponsored Search.
