Social Informatics conference. Second Day.

On September 25-28 in St. Petersburg is taking place the largest international conference on Social Informatics, which is hosted this year by Higher School of Economics with LINIS organisational support.

Today was the official opening of the conference, which was prepared and waited for the whole last year by the Laboratory. We are glad to meet the participants at the main campus of HSE on Kantemirovskaya, 3.

The beginning of the day was started by the lecture "Digital Demography" of guest speaker Ingmar Weber of Qatar Computing Research Institute.

Then the participants presented their papers within two sessions, and after that was held a poster session where the participants' works were demonstrated and the first stage of voting in the nomination "Best poster" was held.

The day was ended by the lecture of the Head of High Technologies Research Institute of ITMO Alexander Boukhanovsky "Metacognitive Modeling over Big Data: from Digital Industry to Digital Humanities".

At the end of the day was organised the "Welcome party", where the participants could get to know each other better and discuss their issues.
