Challenges of the big data era

HSE Perm campus on November 8—9 has held a seminar ‘Challenges of the big data era: a dialogue of university with business organised with the help of LINIS’ Oleg Nagornyy.

The seminar was designed as an open space for a dialogue between representatives of business and the university about current and strategic business tasks, and solutions the university can offer.

 

The central theme of the first day was a discussion of the primary challenges. The second day was dedicated to the discussion of the process of introducing the Data Culture competencies into education programs of the University as well as the presentation of experiences of data analysis practitioners with new learning techniques. Each day was concluded with a round table where participants summarised industry demands and suggested plans on developing educational programs and further collaborations of the business community with the university.
